Our Company
Canvas Video is owned Michael Painter and is operated by both Michael and Nicole Painter with its main offices in Greenville, South Carolina.  Canvas Video provides professional scale video services at a fraction of the cost of many other production companies throughout South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia.

The partnership of Michael’s technical production expertise and Nicole’s coordination, sales and project delivery expertise lead to the opening of their business, Magnolia Memories in 1993.  Magnolia Memories serviced the bridal market by providing high quality wedding video productions and wedding coordination services to brides and grooms in Upstate South Carolina at an affordable price.  Due to the success of this venture, Michael and Nicole elected to expand their business to offer high-quality, affordable production services to regional dance schools and event-driven organizations.  This expansion led to the creation of Canvas Video which is now the flagship company for all of our video productions.

From start to finish, we focus on our clients’ needs.  By doing so, we ensure our clients’ satisfaction by providing them a high-quality finished product that accomplishes their goals.  We look forward to servicing
you for your upcoming video production project.

Why Choose Canvas Video?

A Summary of Expertise
Michael and Nicole Painter bring over 10 years of industry expertise to our clients.  We pride ourselves on providing our clients high quality, professional turnkey video production along with exemplary customer service at a fraction of the cost.  Our recently upgraded in-house, digital studio allows us to provide DVD  formats of our video productions to meet your needs.

Our Goal
Our goal is to provide you with professionally videotaped and edited projects that best reflect your goals and requests.  We achieve this by first learning your wishes and objectives for the project. For our corporate, theatrical and specialty event productions, we use these defined objectives and your clients to develop a detailed project plan that includes script outlines, shot lists and a defined production schedule.  For our wedding and reception productions, we confirm all special requests of the bride and groom in order to capture and incorporate these special memories into their final copy.

Our Equipment
We use a combination of prosumer grade equipment and state-of-the-art non-linear digital editing for our video productions.  We primarily use (2) high-end, 3-chip, broadcast quality cameras (Canon GL series cameras). For shoots requiring more than (2) camera angles, we additionally have two prosumer digital Mini-DV camcorders, Cannon Opturas.

Additional equipment we use includes a PRO88W wireless lapel microphone and any additional sound and light systems (if required for the production) to capture the initial footage.  To ensure the best audio, we prefer to directly connect to your facilities' sound system, when possible, to maximize the production's captured sound.

All productions are digitally edited using Adobe Premiere.  Corporate logos, performer photos and family photos are incorporated into our final productions using digital or scanned originals via Adobe Photoshop. Our final DVD productions include full-scale custom menus and chapter point advances.

We additionally provide in-house DVD duplication services for our completed projects that give our clients a single vendor turnkey solution for their productions.  This allows our clients to receive as many copies as needed that can be ordered at any time.  Please note, Canvas Video will retain all raw footage and (1) one master file in order to provide duplication services to our clients.
